In a statement on Wednesday, Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on behalf of Azimio termed the actions as illegal and aimed at paralysing the protests. "We condemn in the strongest terms possible the arrests of Azimio leaders and close associates of leaders without any colour of right or lightest justification," she said. "Today Ken Chonga, MP Kilifi South, and Hon. Teddy Mwambire, Speaker Kilifi County have been arrested and detained in an unknown place," Karua added. Azimio also listed in Mathare, Kibra, Embakasi.Kamukunii,Mombasa, Kilifi, Kisii and Kisumu as areas where excessive force by police is being.
