Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyib - File PhotoCAIRO - 8 April 2018: Al-Azhar on Sunday condemned the attack that targeted Douma in Syria's Eastern Ghouta on Saturday in which a number of innocent civilians were killed and injured.In a press release on Sunday, Al-Azhar urged the international community to shoulder responsibility toward protecting civilians and guarantee humanitarian aid access to the Syrian citizens.Al-Azhar also reiterated the importance of halting killing and destruction in Syria.The statement also prayed to Allah the Almighty to save the souls of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
