Though he had been attending his father’s rallies in the past, Abdullah Azam Khan’s first stint with politics came about during the 2014 Lok Sabha election when his father was barred from campaigning by the Election Commission. Khan’s youngest son made his first public speech in April 2014, in a town near Rampur and appealed to people to support his father and bring the SP to power.
