PHOTO: LAURA SMITHTired arms and sore backs were in store for Southern Axemen’s Christmas Circuit competitors as the tour reached its midway point in Riverton yesterday. The circuit started in Cromwell last Friday and is set to end in Tuatapere tomorrow. Mr Broughton said he competed in several events, including the standing block and "pretty much all the sawing". Two more of the circuit events are in store for Southland, with a small event at Colac Bay tonight and then another at the Tuatapere Sports Day tomorrow.
