Photo: NZ HeraldTwo teenage girls armed with tomahawks have robbed a Kerikeri liquor store, making off with cash and a backpack full of spirits. The robbery happened about 9pm on Friday, moments before Super Liquor, in the car park next to Kerikeri McDonald's, was to close. A second shop assistant ran to the back of the shop and called the owner while a man parked outside called police after seeing the girls enter the store. The threatened assistant remained calm throughout the robbery and complied with the girls' demands.
