The incident occurred in the rubber garden 5 area around 1:30am on Sunday. Rajbila Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Qi Angpur said: “Qi Ching’s elder brother is the vice president of Awami League ward 5, and the assailants came in search of him.”“Unable to find him, the assailants abducted businessman Qi Ching and shot him dead in the rubber garden. Unfortunately the assailant group has not been identified,” he said. These recent deaths have spread fear among locals, leaders and politicians living in the hill tract areas.
