The deceased is identified as Awami League Vice-President Nazrul Islam, 48. When Nazrul was returning home on his motorcycle from a nearby market, some criminals opened fire on him. Satkhira Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Iltutmish and sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
