Ouch, and that’s coming from someone who (between you and me) likes the Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman about as much as Infinity War. If you use those as best-case/worst-case scenario examples, then Infinity War is heading for a $544m-$627m total, which seems low. But folks seem to really like Avengers: Infinity War, at least more than they liked Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3 (or Pirates 4). We could see a replay of The Avengers, where Avengers: Infinity War just crushes the weaker competition (Dark Shadows and Battleship) until mid-May when it faces some “real” competition. Avengers: Infinity War got an extra week of “summer play,” utterly no competition for its first three weeks of domestic play.
