That's the third-biggest opening day ever in China, ahead of Fate of the Furious (¥480m) and Monster Hunt 2 (¥547m). We could still see a $210 million+ weekend debut for Infinity War this weekend, which would be more than enough to take its global cume past The Avengers ($1.519 billion in 2012). But just that whopper of an opening day is enough to push the movie past a new milestone or two. The film earned $6.9 million on Thursday and $17m overseas yesterday, giving it a $485.9m domestic, $789.3m overseas and $1.275.2 billion worldwide cume, or just below the $1.276b global cume of Walt Disney's Frozen. But throw in that $71m China Friday gross, and you've got a new global cume of around $1.346.2b worldwide.
