That would break Infinity War’s opening weekend record ($258 million last year). So, presuming the film goes the distance, will Avengers: Endgame be the last record-breaking opening weekend for the foreseeable future? Even if I’m wrong, it’s not like Venom 2 is going to triple its $80 million opening weekend next time out. That presumes, perhaps incorrectly, that Star Wars 9 would open bigger than Star Wars 7 (which, all things considered, is not guaranteed). Whether or not Avengers: Endgame opens higher than Avengers: Infinity War, the opening weekend record may belong to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for quite some time.
