You may not see the brilliant oranges, yellows and crimsons of fall leaves, but you will see lots of flora and maybe some fauna when you take a hike with the Hiking Group of The Villages. And now with the cooler, drier air engulfing the area, it’s the perfect time to grab your hiking shoes and hat, water, a snack and bug spray for some outdoor time. A hike may take you to Flat Island Preserve in Leesburg, Halfmoon Wildlife Management Area west of Wildwood, Santos Trailhead near Belleview, or one of many trails nearby.
