According to the report, Kimani was beaten up several times at the back of his head by assailants before being strangled to death. On Monday, more than 30 local and international human rights groups and lawyers took to the streets over the killings. Kimani, 32, his client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri were killed and their bodies dumped in Oldonyo Sabuk river . Lawyer Willie Kimani and two other people he was abducted with died from fractures caused by a blunt object. On the other hand, the taxi driver was first strangled and then beaten on the head with the same blunt object.
