Varroc Lighting Systems opened Tuesday a greenfield 17,000-square meter facility in Tangier, Morocco. Speaking on this occasion, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, said the opening of this plant by a world leader in automotive lighting systems is part of the current dynamics of the automotive industry sector, which is making a very good performance thanks to the vision of King Mohammed VI. “This new manufacturing facility confirms, once again, the attractiveness of Morocco as a global platform for production and export of the automotive industry”, he added. The state-of-the-art facility includes a 12,000-square meter manufacturing facility, 3,000 square meter administration offices and a 2,000-square meter product development and engineering center featuring optics and electronics laboratories, product validation, and tooling maintenance and support. Since the beginning of 2018, Varroc Lighting has expanded its manufacturing footprint in Brazil, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Vietnam.
