By Dominic ChoppingSTOCKHOLM--Autoliv said Friday that its China subsidiary has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with electric vehicle company Nio to develop new safety technologies for electric vehicles with a focus on sustainable solutions. The new technologies will include a passenger airbag that deploys from the headliner using an environmentally friendly inflator, while the two companies are also co-developing a new airbag concept that provides protection for different seating positions.
