Egyptian late author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik - Photo via FacebookCAIRO – 3 April 2018: Egyptian prominent author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik died in Gharbia Monday at the age of 55.Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem mourned the deceased, describing him as a great novelist who has always enriched the cultural life in Egypt and the Arab world.Tawfik wrote more than 200 paperbacks. He was the first contemporary Arab writer of horror and science fiction and the first Arab writer to explore the medical thriller genre.
