An Australian woman has posted a photo of cleaners working in filthy sewers outside her Airbnb in India as a reminder to those back home 'struggling with gratitude' to appreciate their lot in life. This is the sewer next to the Airbnb where we are staying in MSH Layout, Bangalore,' Ms Tellis posted. 'Sewer cleaners in India have a life expectancy of 45 to 50. Ms Tellis said she was 'grateful for the work that they do' and would often make Chai tea for sewer workers in her neighbourhood. She has been working as a school teacher in Bangalore for five years but she also noted how 'India is a good teacher of gratitude'.
