An elderly Sydney couple have been bashed in their home in a late night attack. An 86-year-old Australian man has died and his wife remains in hospital after the pair were bashed in their home in Sydney's northwest. The attack occurred after midnight on Wednesday (local time) when two men forced entry to the couple's Cherrybrook home, threatened the couple and assaulted them. Both were taken to hospital with serious head injuries, but the man died later on Wednesday.
