KUALA LUMPUR: The Amateur Swimming Union of Malaysia (ASUM) have confirmed that an Australian coach will be replacing Yang Zhuliang as national elite coach in January. "For now we have our second coach Zhang Yukun to train the elite divers, but the Podium Programme already have a candidate to replace Zhuliang who will be coming in January," said Mae, when met at the National Sports Complex on Wednesday. Mae echoed NSI chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Zabidi's statement yesterday that Zhuliang has not been receptive to modern training techniques. "I was not there when coach (Zhuliang) broke the news to them but I saw them (diving team) two days ago in the afternoon and briefed them on the plans we have moving forward. Zhuliang is the most successful coach in Malaysia aquatic sports history.
