SYDNEY, July 6, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Australian Rules bosses launched an investigation Thursday after "nude and graphic" images purportedly showing dozens of current and former players were leaked on social media. Local media said they were "nude and graphic" in nature and involved more than 45 players. The AFL Players' Association called the leak an "appalling and disgusting act". The AFL said it was offering welfare support to players involved. Australian Rules, similar to Ireland's Gaelic football, is the country's most popular spectator sport.
