Speaking to the media after attending a signing ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra with Chinese premier Li Qiang, the first Chinese premier to visit Australia since 2017, prime minister Anthony Albanese said Australia and China had 'renewed' and 'revitalised' their engagement, reaching agreement across a series of arrangements that will 'shape and drive our practical cooperation'. 'We also exchanged views today on our region and the world, building our understanding of our respective positions and perspectives,' Albanese said.
