In the last appearance at the Australian Open, veteran Leander Paes starts his mixed doubles journey with a win as he enters second round with partner Jelena Ostapenko. Not just Paes, Rohan Bopanna too keeps India's hopes alive as he progressed to the quarterfinals along with his partner Nadiia Kichenok on Sunday. The duo's opening round which lasted one hour and 27 minutes. Paes and Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open champion, will next face American pair Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Briton Jamie Murray, who knocked out top seeds Marcelo Melo and Barbora Strycova 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 in their opening round. As for Bopanna and his Ukrainian partner, they defeated the team of Nicole Melichar and Bruno Soares 6-4, 7-6(4) in their second round.
