The PGA Championship was previously played in the weeks before Labor Day, but starting in 2019 the event was scheduled to coincide with the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. The hard thing is you're playing against other top guys when you're in a competitive tournament like the PGA Championship, but ultimately you're competing against yourself.
