A top US general has warned Australia that it is about to come within range of a North Korean nuclear attack. The warning was delivered privately last month by General Vincent K. Brooks, commander of UN and US forces in South Korea, to Julie Bishop, the Australian Foreign Minister, who was on an official visit. The general told her that Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator, had developed his country’s rocket technology to the point that Australia would soon be within range of a nuclear strike.
