The five-year, $58.17 million contract signed by Toronto Maple Leafs' 21-year-old Auston Matthews last week includes a full no-move clause in the final year of the contract. Matthews could not be traded or sent down to the minors in that fifth year without his consent. Teams don't always readily agree to them. Matthews' camp wanted one to protect his future earnings and to protect his tenure with the Leafs. After all, Wayne Gretzky got traded before.
