Austen trial: No intention to aid suicide, defence saysCAMERON BURNELL/STUFF Susan Austen's lawyer says she did not aid the commission of a suicide. A woman on trial for aiding a suicide did not intend to assist a Wellington woman to kill herself, a jury has been told. At the High Court in Wellington on Wednesday defence lawyer Donald Stevens, QC, said Susan Dale Austen did not aid Annemarie Treadwell in the commission of suicide.
