KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth and Sports Ministry will be among the first to be called up by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to clarify expenditure on the construction of a sporting venue. PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin said other ministries and agencies will be summoned in due time to explain issues highlighted in the 2nd series of the Auditor General's Report 2016. Another ministry set to be summoned by the PAC is the Rural and Regional Development Ministry, followed by Bintulu Port Authority and Malaysian Venture Capital, Hasan said. The Rompin Member of Parliament added that based on the Auditor General report, he is satisfied with the overall performance of government agencies. "When the report is prepared, the audit does not wait until PAC for an action.
