But locally the process has been made smoother - particularly for business travellers - with a new service launched in a collaboration between Dublin Airport and German car-maker Audi. It's an attractive proposition - available for weekday check-ins for now - whereby Audi car owners have a dedicated area in the short-term car park at Terminal 2. There's also a free Audi gift (a car key ring when I was there). Despite stiff competition from the Middle Eastern and Asian carriers, the best business class award this year went to Russian airline Aeroflot. The Hilton at Heathrow was named best airport hotel, while Oman Airways' lounge in Muscat was voted world's best.
