The arrival of Covid-19 and its lockdowns didn't deter Oliver and since the beginning of last year he's applied for more than 3100 jobs. He's sat through 158 interviews - in person, on zoom, on conference calls, over the phone, and given four presentations to prospective employers. "All I want is to pay my bills, provide for my son, and afford little luxuries like coffee or ice cream," Oliver told the Herald on Sunday. "I just want to work, regardless of what it is to help pay the bills." Oliver says he's received a lot of help from family and friends but he's also become isolated.
