(File photo)Two balaclava-wearing men are on the run after robbing an Auckland jewellery store while armed with hammers. A police spokesman said the incident took place at NorthWest Shopping Centre in Westgate on Monday morning. At 9.40am, two offenders entered the store with weapons and smashed glass cabinets before running away with stolen jewellery. A spokesman for Northwest Shopping Centre said no-one was injured and the mall remained open as normal. “NorthWest Shopping Centre treats the safety of its retailers, customers and the public as the upmost priority and are cooperating with New Zealand Police on the matter.”
