An Auckland accountant has been sent to prison for two years and nine months for almost a decade of tax fraud. Morris said most clients were participants in one network marketing scheme, and they placed their trust in her as their accountant. Chris McKeen/Stuff Alice Jardinero Monzon, 67, was sentenced in the Manukau District Court on Monday to prison time and ordered to pay $10,000 in reparation. Monzon is the second accountant this month to be sent to prison for tax fraud. Megan Nyree Findlay, 40, was sentenced in the Hamilton District Court earlier this month for filing fraudulent GST and income tax returns on behalf of a family-owned company.
