Some business owners on Karangahape Road claim a project to introduce bus and cycle lanes to the iconic strip will be unsafe. An upgrade to the central Auckland street is underway this month, with Auckland Transport hoping to improve the area while retaining its unique character. However Karangahape Rd shop owner Kim Holwerda, who owns The Third Eye, said none of the retailers were happy about the project.
