Praneta Sharma failed to check on sleeping children at BestStart Educare for a 45-minute period (file photo). An early childhood teacher failed to check on sleeping children for 45 minutes and gave false information about herself and her referees when applying for a new position. During proceedings with the tribunal, Sharma admitted the charges and said her conduct in relation to her application for a new position was unacceptable. She also did not check on children in the sleep room on one day between 1.50pm and 2.35pm. Sharma also gave false information about her referees and arranged with them to provide false information to Mt Wellies if they contacted them.
