The expenditure control and procurement committee was expected to meet on 6 December. But chairman and former National MP Maurice Williamson said the meeting was cancelled on Monday, on the grounds it did not have anything to discuss. "The only communication I've received from Maurice Williamson was that the meeting had been cancelled. The normal role of the now defunct finance and performance committee had been taken over by the governing body committee, he said.
