According to Khwisero MP Benjamin Andayi, the leaders will preside over a funds drive and then hold talks on the region’s political future at Khwisero Secondary School. Mr Atwoli, the Central Organisation of Trade Unions secretary-general, has been leading efforts to unite voters in the western region under one political coalition. Mr Atwoli urged patience, saying he was best suited to give the community political direction ahead of the next election. According to the itinerary seen by the Nation, Mr Odinga will start the “Phase 2” tour of western Kenya in Khwisero and Butere.
