Attorney General Mahbubey Alam on Tuesday said the review petition against the Supreme Court verdict on the 16th amendment of the Constitution will be filed in December. “We [the attorney general’s office] received the certified copy of the Appellate Division verdict on Monday. On August 1, the Supreme Court released the full text of its verdict upholding the High Court verdict that declared illegal the 16th amendment to the Constitution. On May 5 last year, a High Court division bench declared the 16th amendment illegal.
