The TIME Fellowship, an initiative of the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, awards up to $12,000 to recipients for a project that provides personal refreshment and professional renewal. Current Sarasota County School District K-12 public school teachers, assistant principals, and principals who have at least three years’ experience working at the District are eligible to apply to the program. TIME – short for “Time to Inspire Margie’s Educators” – is named in honor of Margery Barancik, who enjoyed a career in teaching and a lifelong love of education. Through the first two years of the program, the Barancik Foundation has awarded 50 TIME Fellowships. The Charles and Margery Barancik family has long believed in the power of philanthropy to enrich lives.
