Attempts by India to become a US ally to counter China will not be in its interests and could lead to catastrophic results, a state-run Chinese daily said. The plan of the United States to contain China will not work for India, the daily warned. Ever since Donald Trump took charge, there have been continuous attempts by the United States to contain China and see India's influence expand in the region for the same purpose.
