An Invercargill man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery following a "vicious" attack last month. Police said this afternoon the 27-year-old Invercargill man was charged over an attack on a man at the corner of Ythan and Janet Sts, in Appleby, Invercargill, on Friday, February 16. The man is due to appear in Invercargill District Court today. A 16-year-old man was already facing charges in relation to the assault and would also be facing a charge of attempted murder when he next appeared in the Invercargill Youth Court, police said. The 23-year-old victim had been released from hospital after the "vicious" attack and was recovering in the care of his family.
