A Sylhet court on Tuesday granted police an eight-day remand for Enamul Hasan, brother of Foyzur Rahman Faizul who attacked eminent academician Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal on March 3. Also Read- Faizul’s parents, uncle remanded over attack on Zafar IqbalShahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) teacher Zafar Iqbal was stabbed on the back of his head by Faizul while he was delivering a speech at a program on the university campus on March 3. After receiving immediate treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Zafar Iqbal was airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka that night following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s order. The professor was shifted from the Intensive Care Unit to a cabin there last Wednesday after his physical condition improved. According to the noted author’s Personal Secretary Joynal Abedin, Zafar Iqbal has made a full recovery and will return to Sylhet on Wednesday.
