Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer Wahida Khanam and her father were seriously injured in an attack by unidentified assailants early Thursday. Law enforcement agencies have detained five individuals including the key accused and a leader of Awami Jubo League. The detainees are, Jahangir Alam, 40, convener of Ghoraghat Upazila unit Jubo League, Asadul Haque, 38, member of the same upazila unit Jubo League, Masud Rana, 40, president of Singra union unit Jubo League, Nahid Hossain Polash, the night guard at UNO’s official residence, and Md Nabirul, a painter from Chokbamunia village.
