Attack on Amarnath pilgrims keep Delhi cops on toes


In the wake of terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims, the Delhi Police have beefed up the security besides issuing an advisory to the officers on routes, being used by 'kanwars' to enter the national Capital. Terrorists on Monday killed seven Amarnath pilgrims, including six women, and injured 19 others as they targetted a bus in Kashmir's Anantnag district. Security has been specifically beefed up in areas of North and Northeast Delhi, from where kanwars start their journey. Cops have also beefed up the security in areas that receives massive footfall of young crowd and foreign tourists.
