A Delhi restauranteur was arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering his 34-year-old wife who was shot in a car in Rohini in the city’s northwest a day earlier. Her husband, Pankaj Mehra, had told police that three-four men in a car had intercepted his vehicle and killed his wife. He shot dead his wife and tried to blame the money lender for it. There was no second car,” deputy commissioner of police Milind Dumbere told Hindustan Times over phone on Thursday. “Pankaj thought he could blame the money lender who would be arrested and he wouldn’t have to return the Rs 40 lakh,” the DCP said.
