People start gathering around an improvised dance floor — the room is usually used for beer sampling — with chairs and tables pushed to the sides. It's connected to Hot Spot, the dance collective that Power formed last year. Justin Power, organiser and founder of Hot Spot, dance collective aiming to build community around dance. "I decided to organize these sessions because I wanted to introduce different hip-hop dance styles to a wider audience, outside the the dance scene," he said. As the night goes on, people who had originally circled around the bar move towards the dance floor and find a partner to practise some moves.
