Members of Myanmar's Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) undertake military training in the country's ethnic border regions, as clashes with the ruling junta escalate. The KNDO is not the only armed ethnic group offering CDM members training. Nerdah Bo Mya acknowledges it is a very one-sided battle on the streets of Myanmar. Armed clashes between the Myanmar military and another Karen armed group -- the Karen National Liberation Army -- have displaced about 40,000 people, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA). But Nerdah Bo Mya says they will return to the cities better equipped mentally, at least.
