There are three of the French painter Claude Monet’s work appearing around the world this year, and Beyond Monet comes courtesy of a Montreal company, so it’s good to support a Canadian version. I have visited Giverny, and at no point during my time at Beyond Monet did I feel I had returned. Anyway, let’s visit the big room where you can enjoy a restorative 35-minute immersion in non-stop Monet. The problem with immersive Monet is that it makes the paintings look a little as if a child actually could have done them. But that child wouldn’t have lived in Giverny for 43 years studying the mystery pond matchup between light and vision, would they?
