"Due to the dengue and chikungunya outbreak, RML is flooded with patients. An ambulance driver, tech nician and paramedical staff is at the doctor's disposal 24X7. "A retired doctor from RML told TOI that the ex-PM cell was created through a Cabinet decision. Another doctor, who has served in the hospital in senior positions for over 30 years, said he did not remember any VIP utilising these services. In May last year, the hospital issued a circular warning doctors of action if they handled VIPs in a casual way.
