Representative Chuck Fleischmann, who represents the state’s Third Congressional District, said the victims attended Woodmore Elementary School. “I am absolutely heartbroken over this tragedy and I will pray for the children and their families,” he said on Twitter. “It’s a sad situation anytime there’s a school bus with children involved, which there is in this case,” Governor Haslam said in a statement, according to The Times Free Press. “We will do everything we can to assist in what I think is going to be a very sad situation.”
