By ANGWENYI GICHANA March 13, 2019 AsumbiAsumbi TTC began their Kenya Teachers Training Colleges Sports Association Nyanza region men’s soccer title defense on a positive note defeating a stubborn St Paul’s Nyabururu 2-0. Newcomers Borabu had a dream debut beating Msomi by straight sets while Kenyenya and Kamagambo also had straight sets win over Neema and Angelic. In the men’s category, Asumbi easily dispatched Rachuonyo by straight sets. Kenyenya also had a straight sets win over Neema with Borabu also edging Msomi 3-0. Winners will represent Nyanza region at the nationals to be held at Meru Teachers Training College in Eastern region as March 31 to April 5, according to Kenya Teachers’ Training Colleges Sports Association Nyanza secretary Lucas Okinda.
