At his locker after the game, Gurriel, a Cuban native, said in Spanish through an interpreter he didn’t intend to offend anybody. Before Saturday’s game, Gurriel released a statement through the team apologizing for his actions, calling them “indefensible.”“I deeply regret it,” Gurriel said.
