A popular Lincolnshire beach has once again received national recognition and has been named one of the 50 best beaches in the UK. As part of an annual round-up by The Times broadsheet, Skegness was praised for its 'surprisingly good fish and chips' and a beach of 'astonishing scale and beauty'. Bringing in more than two million visitors every year, the East Lindsey seaside town is ranked the fourth most popular resort in the country, according to the publication. He added: "Behind it all lies a beach of astonishing scale and beauty — its sands running unbroken for 25 miles from Saltfleet Haven in the north to Wainfleet Harbour in the south. Skegness was included among 49 other UK beaches in the Times' 15th annual gazetteer, alongside Holkham, Whitby Sandsend and 'beach of the year' Weymouth.
